The ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship Fund is intended to encourage racial and ethnic minority students to apply to law school and to provide financial assistance to the scholarship recipients. The Fund will award $5,000 annually to each recipient attending an ABA-accredited law school. To be eligible, an applicant must be a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S.; an entering first-year law student; and, at the time of submission of the application, have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (on a 4.0 grading scale).
